PIPS Administrative Interns
On an as-needed basis, PIPS seeks students to serve as administrative interns. The position is unpaid and involves no more than 5 hours of work a week.
Administrative intern duties include:
- Helping to organize the PIPS symposiums in Washington, D.C. and on campus
- Interacting with members of the policy community in support of PIPS programming
- Participating in PIPS site visits to international relations related organizations
- Conducting research on security-related policy issues for the PIPS Directors and, occassionally, a research team
- Maintaining the PIPS website
- Conducting outreach to the on-campus and off-campus communities
PIPS is looking for applicants with the following qualities:
- Excellent time management skills
- Self-motivated
- Detail-oriented
- W&M van certification (preferred, but not required)
- Experience editing websites, especially using Cascade (preferred, but not required)
- Strong research skills
- Demonstrated interest in international relations
- Minimum 3.3 cumulative GPA
